Verify a bet
This page recomputes a result in your browser with the same code the server uses (fair-games.js). It never trusts a number sent by the server: it works out its own result from the seeds and compares the two.
Check a result
How to check a bet, step by step
- Open the bet. Every bet and every faucet claim in the app has a Verify link. It opens this page with the game, your client seed, the nonce and your choices filled in.
- Reveal the server seed. Before a bet you only see the hash of the server seed. Start a new seed pair on the Fair page and the old seed is shown: it must hash to the value you saw first.
- Compare. Press Verify. The page derives the floats, maps them to the result of the game and says whether it matches what the server stored.
floats = HMAC-SHA256(server seed, "client seed:nonce:cursor"), 4 bytes each ÷ 2^32
Step-by-step games (Mines, Tower, Chicken, Blackjack, Hi-Lo) are checked on what was drawn when the round began: the mines, the traps, the lane, the deck.
What a match proves, and what it does not
A match proves that the result came from the seed pair fixed before the bet: nobody could change it after seeing your choices. It does not make a game favourable. The house games keep a house edge of 3%, so the expected result of playing is a loss.
The numbers behind the site are public as well: see the live economy and the games.
